Penang Art Street is located in George Town and it being a protected
UNESCO Heritage site. The beautiful wall arts which were painted by Lithuanian
artist, Ernest Zacharevic. The wall arts had attracted many tourists take photo
with them and “check in” on social media. The important thing is: it is FREE!
Take photo with wall art is FOC but sure you need to queue under a big sun. If
you dislike to queue, you can go there at night. But make sure to turn on your
camera flashlight when you take photo with wall arts.
At here, you can take a map about where to find out the wall
arts from any hotel or homestay which local at the Penang Art Street. You can
walk around the street on foot or another choice is you can rent a bicycle by
1hr RM7 at there. By the way, be careful when you looking for the wall arts
because there have many cars cross the street.
In Penang Arts Street, there also have many restaurant and
refreshment booth to sell food, snack and beverage. Take a rest with them when
you feel tired.
The artworks are funny, fascinating, and very much open to
everyone’s interpretations.
